Repcheck/Compare

Reputation isn’t new.
We just made it portable.

Feedback systems have existed since eBay launched in 1995. Trustpilot, Klaviyo, Yotpo—those are enterprise tools for businesses collecting customer reviews. That’s not what we do.

Repcheck is portable reputation for people who buy and sell. Collectors, traders, vendors. Online and offline. Your trust score follows you from eBay to Discord to the card show table.

What Repcheck is not

Not an enterprise feedback tool

We're not Trustpilot, Klaviyo, or Yotpo. Those are built for businesses collecting customer reviews at scale. We're built for people trading with each other.

Not a CRM

We don't manage your customer relationships, send email campaigns, or upsell review widgets. We verify that the person you're about to trade with is legit.

Not locked to one platform

eBay feedback stays on eBay. Discord vouches stay in that server. Your reputation should follow you. That's the whole point.

The graveyard

Portable reputation isn’t a new idea. At least a dozen startups have tried it since 2009. Every one that tried to be a universal trust layer for the entire internet failed. We’re not trying to boil the ocean—we’re building for collectors, traders, and vendors who actually need it.

What we learned from the dead

Distribution, not concept

Every dead startup had the right idea and zero distribution. We embed where trades happen: Discord bots in trading servers, QR codes at convention tables, browser extensions on eBay listings. We don't wait for users to visit a website.

Niche, not universal

Traity tried to be the trust layer for the entire sharing economy and burned $4.7M. We're building for one community: collectors and traders. Pokemon cards, sneakers, art slabs, figures. People who deal with strangers constantly and need to know who's legit.

Individuals and businesses

Most feedback platforms pick one: consumer reviews for businesses (Trustpilot) or peer-to-peer vouches (Discord bots). We do both. Your personal trust score and your business profile, same system, same portable reputation.

Online and offline

Convention vendors have no way to prove their reputation at a table. Show mode, QR codes, and convention cards bring your trust score to the real world. No other platform does this.

Questions

What is portable reputation?
Portable reputation means your trust score follows you everywhere you trade, not just one platform. Instead of building separate reputations on eBay, Discord, Instagram, and at card shows, Repcheck combines them into one profile that works across all of them.
How is Repcheck different from Trustpilot?
Trustpilot is built for businesses collecting customer reviews. Repcheck is built for individuals who buy and sell with each other. If you trade Pokemon cards on Discord, sell sneakers on Instagram, and vend at card shows, Trustpilot does not work for you. Repcheck does.
How is Repcheck different from HeatWare?
HeatWare is a forum-based feedback system for hardware traders with 25 years of history and 85K users. Repcheck goes further with AI-powered seller research, convention tools (QR codes, show mode display), a Discord bot, browser extension, and support for businesses. HeatWare is great for hardware forums; Repcheck works everywhere you trade.
Why can't I just use eBay feedback?
eBay feedback only works on eBay. If you sell on Whatnot, trade in Discord servers, deal on Instagram, or vend at conventions, your eBay reputation does not follow you. Repcheck imports your eBay feedback and combines it with reviews from everywhere else into one trust score.
Is Repcheck free?
Yes. Repcheck is free for individuals and businesses. Create a profile, collect reviews, share your trust score, and look up sellers at no cost.
Has portable reputation been tried before?
Yes, many times. Traity raised $4.7M and had 4.5 million users before shutting down in 2020. TrustCloud, Credo360, Deemly, and Reputationaire all tried and failed. The difference is distribution: Repcheck is embedded where trades actually happen with Discord bots, convention tools, and browser extensions, not waiting for users to visit a separate website.
